Whether we want to believe it or not assessment DOES include: tests, projects, and other work that might not necessarily show an accurate assessment of what you really know. Yet without it, a teacher would not be able to understand if a student grasps the concepts or not. Although it is unfair to entirely use tests as a means for assessment, it is crucial. I think that teachers should look at testing in more of a nonchalant matter so that their students will not got so nervous. I know through my own personal experience throughout elementary school I was a bad test taker and it was mainly due to how nervous and sick I made myself about it! Maybe if teachers
introduced the test in a more relaxed way, students wouldn't psych themselves out so much and their scores would be better.

I totally agree with your view about ESGI. I saw the video and I just had to share it with the class to get their perspectives on the program. I know I will probably be checking out that program later on in my career. Thanks for the comment.
I also agree with what you say; assessment in the form of test and and written work will never go away and they do hold some credibility.

Excellent thoughts, Jen.
Your personal educational experiences as a student will only make you a stronger educator.
